Before we start our next section, we will have to learn how to upload a file on a web host. If you do not already have a web host to store your files on, you can go to Geocities, Tripod or Angelfire to sign up for a free account. My personal favorite is Homewithgod.com.
After you are signed in on one of the web servers, go to the File Manager. Open your file manager and you will see something that says "Upload Files". This will bring you to a page where you can browse through your computer, find your files and load them into your file manager. Click one of the "browse" buttons, and locate the sample.html file on your computer. Select that file, and click on "upload". You should get a message that sample.html was uploaded successfully.
Then go into your File Manager, and you should see the file that you uploaded. Put a check mark in the box before the sample.html and click on "view" if you are in Yahoo, or just click on the file link for Tripod. Your web page will come up in a browser. You will see a url in the top address bar. This is the URL for your page, and congratulations! You have just published your first web page!
