Selections Made Simple

Page 2

You have now opened your selection, and see the "marching ants" with the dotted lines on your workspace.  Go to your flood fill tool, and flood fill your selection with black.

Then go to Selections/Select None to deselect the "marching ants".

Now go back to the layer button on the top tool bar, and add a new raster layer just like we did before.  You can name it face 2 or anything that you would like.

Now go to Selections/Load from Disk and find the smiley.sel which you have saved in your folder, and open it.  You can flood fill the smiley face with yellow, and deselect.

Add a new Raster Layer and call it cutout.  Load the outside.sel from your disk (Selections/Load from Disk and then find it in your folder again).

Now go to Effects/3D Effects/Cutout.

Deselect, and Go to Layers/Merge Visible and you are done!  You have made a smiley face using selections in Paint Shop Pro!

If you want, you can now tube your smiley face, and use him whenever you want to, on a future graphic.  How do we do that?  Just go to File/Export/PictureTube.  Give your smile face a name, and save him as a tube.
