Flood Fill
One thing that I have learned about the Flood Fill tool, is that when you have a selection that you want to fill, if the blend mode is set to Normal, and the Match mode is set to None, then all of the selection will be filled. Sometimes you have multiple areas that are selected, and if you have this in the tool options, all of the areas will be filled at the same time. However, if you want to fill the different areas with different colors or textures, put RGB in the Match mode, and then only the part that you click to fill will be flooded, and the other areas will still be selected and not filled.
