Tool Palette

Tool Palette You can see the tool palette to the left, with all of the tools visible.  Depending on what you are doing, some of these tools might be grayed out, and you might not be able to use them.  For instance, the automatic scratch removal tool will show up as grayed out unless you are working on a photograph.  Or the Object Selector will not be usable unless you are working on a Vector Object.

One tip when using your tools...  On the floating tool bar, you will see two tabs.  If you click on the tab on the right hand side, you will see a number of check boxes.  One option that it give you is for precise cursors, and to show brush outlines.  I find that these options are easier for me to see exactly where my tools are going to be applied.  It is your choice, but this is where you can modify this option.
