Tips and Tricks
This is not a complete list of tips and tricks, and I may add to it from time to time. I will share with you a few of the things that I have learned about PSP, and I hope that you will find this helpful.
I will start out with a description of each tool, show what it looks like in Paint Shop Pro, and show how you can configure the options. One thing that some very wise people told me when I first started learning PSP, is that you can't always go by the books... You have to play with it, and experiment! And have FUN with it!
Basic Tool Bar
The above image shows the basic tool buttons in PSP. If none of them are selected, you will have no floating tool bars on your workspace. I find it helpful and that it saves a little time to have four of them open, as they are the ones that I change all of the time.
I leave the Layer Pallette, Color Pallette, the Tool Pallete and the Tool Options open, but that is your personal preference. You can always open them whenever you need them. This is what these buttons look like on the Tool Bar. To see a description of each, and the options to configure, please click on one of the buttons here.

Working With Selections
Many tutorials that you will be doing on the net include selection files. I hope that my explanation of selections and how to use them will be beneficial to you.
