This tutorial was done by me, and is my own creation.  Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely by coincidence.  When at all possible credit is given to the author or creator of borrowed work.

    Plug ins, Etc.

To create this graphic you will need the corner brushes (set #4) by Jan's Designs which you can unzip into your PSP Brushes folder.  You will also want to download the zip file for the tube and the gold texture tile.  You can extract the angel tube into your tube file and the gold tile you can open and minimize it in your Paint Shop Pro.

Mura's Filter Meitser:  You will also need the Cloud Plug in from MuRa's Filter Meister which you can get HERE.  To get all of this series of plug ins, you can go to this url:  HERE.

Gregs Factory Output II:  I used Greg's Pool Shadow, which you can get HERE.  Unzip the plug ins into a folder on your hard drive that you used for your plug ins.

OK!  Now that we have all of our "stuff" lets get started!  Foreground color is #5879B8 and background color is #FFFFFF.  Remember to SAVE OFTEN!  Open a new image 300 x 300 with a transparent background.  Create a new layer, and name it globe.  Using your Selections tool, Circle and antalias checked, make a large circle starting at 150/150 and expanding to 295/295  You will see your number coordinates on the bottom left corner of your PSP workspace.  Flood fill the circle with #5879B8.

Now go to Effects/cutout and use the following settings:

cut out

New Layer, and name it "clouds".  Now "Effects/plug-in filters/MuRa's Meister/cloud and use the following settings.

clouds

The colors that are specified are Light #FFFFFF, FG #3479CA, and BG #DEB1DF, Blend mode selected.  Now go to layers/arrange/move down, so that it is under the globe layer.  On your layer pallet, slide the Layer Opacity down to 70% by moving the slider.

Highlight the top layer on your layer pallet.  New layer, and name it Highlights.  Click on your paintbrush, and then switch the foreground and background colors by clicking on the arrows between the boxes.  The foreground color should now be white.  Set your paintbrush tool to these settings.

Now draw two white lines on your globe to make your highlights.  I put mine like this:

Highlights

Now go to Effects/Blur/Gaussian Blur and enter a Radius of 7.  Deselect.

New layer.  Now you can add the angel tube, or another one of your favorites.  I scaled the size of the tube to 80%.  If you want to change the position of the angel after you put it in the globe, use your mover tool, and put it where ever you want.  Make sure that your angel tube layer is under the highlight layer and the globe layer.  Now you can add a drop shadow to the tube, vertical and horizontal at 1, Opacity at 70 and blur at 20.

Layers/Merge Visible.  New layer.  Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom.  Flood fill with #5879B8.  Change your background color is #FFFFFF.  Now Image/Add Borders symmetric is checked, and 5 pixels in each box.  Click OK.

Select the white border with your magic wand.  Click on the arrow on the "Styles" button, and switch from solid color to Pattern.  Click on the pattern button, and select the D_goldfold from the tiles in the pattern box.  Flood fill the border with the gold tile.  Keep selected.  Add a drop shadow by going to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow.  Vertical and horizontal should be 1, Opacity 70, Blur 20.  Effects/Sharpen.  Deselect.

Change your background color to #5879B8 and add another border but change the width to 25 pixels.  Select your new border with the magic wand.  This is where Greg's Pool Shadow comes into play.  If you have it, then apply it now, using the default settings.  Deselect.

Change your background color to #FFFFFF and add another border of 5 pixels.  Select your border with the magic wand, and flood fill it with the gold tile.  Deselect.

New Layer.  Click on your paintbrush tool, and then on the tool options bar, you will see a button that looks like a little paintbrush.  Click on the paintbrush, and from the list choose "Custom".

custom

Find the corner brush and click OK.  Size 185 Opacity 100 and Step 25.  The gold pattern tile should still be in the foreground.  Holding your mouse very still, click about five times.  Add the same drop shadow that you used before.  Move your corner into position in the top left on your frame.

corner

Now go to Layer/Duplicate and then Image/Mirror.  Then Layer/Duplicate and Image/Flip.  Layer/Duplicate again and then Image/Mirror to complete your frame.  Layers/Merge All.  Resize to whatever your need, Effects/Sharpen and you are done!
