Seamless Tiles
Step 2
Your tile looks pretty good the way that it is, doesn't it? But if you put one tile next to another, they won't look as well.

One thing that Blade Pro does sometimes is to put a line of color around the outer edge of your image, so we will get rid of that now. Go to "Selections" and "Select all" to put the "marching ants" around your tile. Then go to "Modify" and "Contract" and contract your tile by 2 pixels.

Then cut out the contracted tile with the scissors on the tool bar. Then paste the new tile as a new selection using either the clip board icon on the tool bar, or go to edit, paste as new selection. Your new tile will be 46 x 46. You can now delete the old tile, with the cut out.
Now open up a new selection that is 92 x 92, background white and 16 million colors. Go back to your bluegreenlights tile, and select it by clicking on it. Then copy it by going to edit, copy.
Now go to your new tile, and click on it to make it the active tile. Then go to edit, paste as new selection. The copy of the bluegreen tile will follow your cursor in the new tile, until you click on the tile. Try to position it in the lower right hand corner. You can align the edges by holding down the "control" key and the arrow keys. It is very important to make your background of the new tile contrast with the tile that you are trying to align, because you do not want any of your background to show through when we are finished.

Our next step will be to go to edit, paste as new selection again, but this time align to the lower left of the tile. Make sure the edges line up with the edges of the white tile. Then go to "Image" and "Mirror" to make the colors match up.

Repeat the edit, paste as new selection again, but this time place the tile at the top right corner. Then go to "image" and "flip".

Repeat edit, paste as new selection, and place this last tile in the top left corner. Then go to "image" and "flip" and then "mirror". You have finished your first seamless tile! Save your new tile by going to "File", "export" as "JPG" and follow the directions to optimize your tile. Then save it in your favorite folder.

I always like to test my tile before I put it on a page, by making a larger tile, and putting copying this tile into it as it would be tiled on a web page. For this size you could make a new selection that is 184 x 184 and pasting four of these tiles together.
